General Rules

  • Attendance
    Class attendance is very important at school. All students are required to attend school regularly. Leave may be taken in case of urgent work/illness, but proper sanction has to be obtained from the Principal in writing.

The school has a team of talented, qualified and experienced teachers, who work under the guidance of Incharges at different levels. The school is committed to bring out the best in the children in the field of academics, Co-curricular activities, games and sports. Individual attention is paid by the teachers to the students with specific needs. Every step is taken by the teachers to motivate, encourage and inspire the students so that optimum promotion of the talents and aptitude may take place in a congenial environment.

EXAMINATION SYSTEM:

CLASSES 1-V

The session will be divided into two terms. Each term will have periodic tests. Term I will be from April-October and the Term II will be from November-March. There will be four periodic tests in all, which will be taken in the form of pre-paper tests.

Subject Enrichment Activities:

These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. These activities are to be carried out throughout the term. However, they should be evaluated at the term-end.

Languages:

Aims at equipping the learners to develop effective listening and speaking skills. The language teachers may device their own methods and parameters for assessment of the language.

Mathematics:

The activities in Mathematics may be undertaken as given in the Text Book. Science: Practical work and activities in science may be undertaken as suggested in the Text Book.

Social Science:

Map or the project work may be undertaken as suggested by the Text Book.


Grading Scale for Scholastic Areas(Classes VI-VIII):

Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI-VIII):

For the holistic development of the student co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding B-Very Good and C=Fair). The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork will be the generic criteria for grading the following co-scholastic activities:

(a) Work Education- Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.

(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)

(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga)

Discipline (Classes VI-VIII):

The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behavior, values, and tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding B-Very Good and C=Fair).

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT:

(a) Notebook Maintenance will be assessed before the end of each term on the following parameters:

  • Regularity
  • Assignment completion
  • Neatness and upkeep of notebook

(b) Subject Enrichment Activities will comprise of techniques like ASL/Reading/ Dictation/ Debate/ Public Speaking etc. for languages. Lab Activities/ Projects/ Map Work/ Model Making/Field trips etc need to be conducted for Science, Social science and Mathematics throughout the year.

(c) 6th additional subject (Class 6th to 8th only) will be assessed as notified.
